Movie Palace Online Narrative Design Work

For the Movie Palace Online ARG, I was asked to do the narrative design and writing on two missions.
For #1, I needed to write the in-universe emails sent to the player by Pam, a conspiracy blogger, inviting them to help her unravel a longstanding mystery. Collaborating with the creative director, I devised the narrative premise and some puzzles to be solved. To add some (on-brand) emotional weight, I let Pam be challenged by the outcome, leading her to question her antisocial conspiracy theorist way, and inching her towards redemption. For #2, I had to design a telephone menu maze. I went full Kafkaesque customer automated service hell for an internet service provider. Users had to explore multiple branching menus to hear details that seem at first like non-sequitors but end up being essential to procure their free trial extension.
